Russia launches 37 drones on Ukraine overnight: 29 downed, attack ongoing

Russian forces have launched 37 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions as well as drones of other types to attack Ukraine since the evening of 18 February. Ukrainian air defence units have downed 29 drones, and the attack is ongoing.

Quote: "As of 08:30, air defence had shot down or jammed 29 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions as well as drones of other types over the north, south and east of the country. Hits by attack UAVs had been recorded at four locations."
Details: The attack drones were launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk and Kursk as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk. Around 20 of them were Shahed loitering munitions.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
As of 08:50, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian UAVs are still in Ukrainian airspace.
