The Security Service of Ukraine has classified an explosion at a disused petrol station in Mykolaiv on 23 February, which left law enforcement officers injured, as a terrorist attack.

Quote from the National Police: "At the time of the incident, patrol police officers were on the premises, having arrived for a shift change.
Early reports indicate that an explosive device detonated, the origin of which is currently being determined by law enforcement.
Seven law enforcement officers sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the explosion, two of whom are in a serious condition. Vehicles were damaged."
Details: An investigative team, bomb disposal experts and other appropriate services are working at the scene. Those who were injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 258.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – a terrorist act. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Security Service Directorate in Mykolaiv Oblast.
Police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and identifying those responsible.
