Damage and power cuts reported in Poltava Oblast, one person injured in Kirovohrad Oblast – photos

Russian forces have attacked Poltava and Kirovohrad oblasts, damaging houses, an industrial facility and power lines. One person was injured and almost 20,000 consumers were left without electricity.

Quote from Diakivnych: "The enemy attacked Poltava Oblast overnight. Industrial facilities in the Poltava district were damaged as a result of falling debris and hits. According to the State Emergency Service, the fires that broke out after the attack have been extinguished."

Details: Falling debris damaged the grounds around a house and a power line in the Lubny district, leaving 18,209 domestic and 1,781 non-domestic consumers without electricity.

"Power engineers are working to restore the electricity supply. Luckily, there were no casualties," Diakivnych said.

Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine specified that some equipment and production facilities had been damaged in Poltava Oblast. A large-scale fire broke out.

Raikovych reported that one person had been injured in a Russian drone attack on the Novoarkhanhelsk hromada in Kirovohrad Oblast. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

"The roofs of five houses were also damaged. A commission will record the extent of the devastation," he added.
