Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have hit a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system at the Azovstal steelworks in temporarily occupied Mariupol.

Details: On 27 February, operators from the 1st Battalion of the 413th Raid Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment struck the Russian Pantsir-S1 system using a Ukrainian-made middle-range strike capability.

The strike was carried out on the Donetsk front near Mariupol on the grounds of the Azovstal metallurgical plant.

The system that was hit is estimated to be worth about US$15 million. The Pantsir-S1 system is described as one of the key elements of the Russian air defence.
