US and Israel reveal names of their operations against Iran

The US and Israel jointly attacked Iran on 28 February, after which they revealed the names for their operation.

Details: Israel has named its operation against Iran Lion's Roar.

The previous Israel Defence Forces operation against Iran in June 2025 was called Rising Lion.

The Pentagon has said that strikes on Iran were named Operation Epic Fury.

Background:

• The US together with Israel are carrying out strikes on Iran.
• At the same time US President Donald Trump officially said that the United States has started a military campaign in Iran.
• Later Israel Defence Forces reported that it recorded the launch of missiles from Iranian territory towards the State of Israel.
