Israel Defence Forces report largest ever air assault: around 200 fighter jets hit 500 targets in Iran

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have reported that approximately 200 fighter jets were deployed in the military operation against Iran, dropping munitions on around 500 targets. The IDF describes the operation as the largest in the history of the Israeli Air Force.

Details: The IDF reported that this was the largest "military flyover" in the history of the Israeli Air Force (IAF), "conducted following accurate planning and based on high-quality intelligence, while synchronising hundreds of fighter jets at the same time".
The Israeli Air Force fighter aircraft simultaneously dropped hundreds of munitions aimed at approximately 500 targets in Iran, including air defence systems and missile launchers.
One of the strikes hit a facility in Tabriz in western Iran. The site was used by an Iranian surface-to-surface missile unit.
