At least 8 killed as Iranian missile hits residential area in Israeli city

At least eight people have been killed after an Iranian missile struck a residential area in the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh, hitting a public bomb shelter.

Details: The missile hit a built-up area in the city, causing heavy damage to a public bomb shelter and nearby homes.
Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank service, said it pronounced 8 people dead at the scene and took 28 others to hospital, particularly 2 in a serious condition. A 4-year-old boy was taken to a trauma unit in a moderate condition.
Video footage shows extensive damage to the bomb shelter.
Local authorities said they plan to investigate the circumstances of the strike, particularly the structural integrity of the shelter.
