Trump does not rule out deploying US troops in Iran

US President Donald Trump has told the New York Post he is not saying an outright "no" to deploying American troops in Iran and suggested it could become necessary.

Details: Trump indicated he does not exclude the possibility of sending US forces into Iranian territory, while the current operation against Iran remains limited to air strikes.

Quote: "I don't have the yips with respect to boots on the ground – like every president says, 'There will be no boots on the ground'. I don't say it. I say 'probably don't need them', [or] 'if they were necessary'."
