Russians advance near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast – DeepState

Russian forces have advanced near the town of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Details: Analysts reported on 9 March that the Russians had advanced near Huliaipole.

Ukraine's General Staff said that over the past day there were 19 attacks by Russian forces on the Huliaipole front in the area of Myrne and towards the settlements of Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, Hirke and Sviatopetrivka.

Background:

• Dmytro "Perun" Filatov, commander of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment, said that the city of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast is currently "almost occupied" but described the situation as "part of the plan".
• Russian troops occupied the village of Sopych in Sumy Oblast, where abductions of local residents had previously been reported.
• Russian troops seized more Ukrainian land in the village of Hryshyne in Donetsk Oblast and the town of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
• DeepState reported on 3 March that the Russians had advanced near the villages of Markove and Rivne and in the village of Hryshyne, all of them located in Donetsk Oblast.
