Ukraine's Air Force reports peculiarity of Russian attack as they down 194 Russian drones

The Russians have attacked Ukraine with 211 strike drones on the night of 15-16 March and during Monday morning, and air defence downed 194 UAVs. Hits were recorded at 10 locations.

Details: The Russians attacked with Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and other types of UAVs from the usual directions: Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Over 100 of the drones launched were Shahed loitering munitions.

The Air Force also noted a particular feature of the attack. It was an unusual morning attack by the Russians using strike drones of various types towards Kyiv Oblast.

The main directions of the Russian strikes were Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv oblasts.

Early information indicates that as of 11:00, air defence had shot down or jammed 194 Russian drones of various types in the north, south and east of the country.

Hits by 16 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 locations, as well as falls of downed drones (debris) at 11 locations.
