Russia attacks Ukraine with 178 drones, 154 downed

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 178 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas attack UAVs and other types of drones since the evening of 16 March. Ukrainian air defences have downed 154 UAVs, but hits have been recorded at 12 locations. The attack is ongoing.

Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 154 drones. Hits by 22 UAVs had been recorded at 12 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 2 locations."
Details: The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from Hvardiiske and Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
About 110 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
As of 08:00, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
