US strikes Iranian missile sites near Strait of Hormuz
The US military has said it has conducted strikes using heavy deep-penetration bombs against fortified Iranian missile facilities along the country's coastline near the Strait of Hormuz.

Details: CENTCOM said US forces had "successfully employed" 5,000-pound aerial bombs (approximately 2,270 kg, a large portion of which is explosive material) designed for deep penetration against fortified missile sites along Iran's coastline near the Strait of Hormuz.
Quote from CENTCOM: "The Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles in these sites posed a risk to international shipping in the strait."
