US briefed Russia on outcome of Florida peace talks with Ukraine, Kremlin says

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, has said the United States briefed Russia on the outcome of the peace talks between the US and Ukraine in Florida on ending the war.

Background:
- During the talks in Miami on 21-22 March, Ukraine was represented by Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the President's Office, Budanov's First Deputy Serhii Kyslytsia, and Davyd Arakhamiia, leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction.
- US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff described the meeting between the Ukrainian and US delegations in Florida as constructive and focused on "narrowing and resolving remaining items".
- Meanwhile, after hearing a report from the Ukrainian negotiating team, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there has been no real progress in the talks because Russia does not want to move towards peace.
- Zelenskyy instructed the Ukrainian negotiation team to continue working as actively as possible with Ukraine's partners so that diplomacy is substantive and humanitarian issues such as prisoner exchanges are resolved.
