NATO pledges Ukraine will receive all American weapons under PURL

NATO has asserted that all weapons and ammunition that Alliance member states have paid for on Ukraine's behalf under the PURL mechanism for purchasing American weaponry will be delivered to Ukraine.

Details: NATO has promised that weapons ordered for Ukraine from the US under the PURL mechanism will arrive in Ukraine as planned.

"Everything that NATO allies and partners have paid for through (the mechanism) PURL has been delivered or continues to flow to Ukraine," Hart told European Pravda.

Earlier, Western media reported that the US is planning to redirect weapons intended for Ukraine – including air defence missiles already ordered for Ukraine under PURL – to the Middle East.

As European Pravda reported, earlier that same day NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte assured journalists that American weapons from PURL would continue to be supplied to Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump also commented on media reports about the possible redirection to the Middle East of American weaponry intended for Ukraine, saying that the US is constantly engaged in redirecting weaponry from various parts of the world.

Background: The EU recently reported that approximately 800 American-made interceptor missiles were used in the Middle East over three days, exceeding the number of missiles used by Ukraine over the winter period.
