Trump administration warns allies of possible disruptions to US weapons supplies for Ukraine – Politico

Officials from the administration of US President Donald Trump have begun warning countries that US weapons supplies to Ukraine may be disrupted in the coming months as the Pentagon prioritises their use in the war in Iran.
Source: Politico, citing informed sources, as reported by European Pravda
Details: Three European officials said the US Department of State has informed allies that deliveries of ammunition, particularly interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems, could be disrupted.
Two of the sources said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio planned to discuss the issue with allies at the G7 foreign ministers' meeting on Friday 27 March.
One European official said at least some allies have "received assurances" from the US that deliveries under the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative have not been redirected.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said Rubio did not notify Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha of any upcoming disruptions to PURL deliveries during their bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G7 summit.
The Pentagon declined to comment on specifics.
Background:
- The Washington Post previously reported that the US is considering redirecting weapons intended for Ukraine, including air defence missiles already ordered under the PURL initiative, to the Middle East.
- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said US weapons supplied under PURL would continue to be delivered to Ukraine.
- Trump also commented on the reports, saying that the US regularly redirects weapons from different parts of the world.
