Russians attack gas production facilities in Poltava Oblast for the third day in a row

The Russian forces struck three production facilities belonging to the Naftogaz Group in Poltava Oblast with drones on the night of 27-28 March and on the morning of 28 March.

Details: For the third consecutive day, Russian forces have been carrying out large-scale attacks on the Naftogaz Group's gas production assets in Poltava Oblast.
Quote from Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretskyi: "Sadly, during one of the attacks, Russians killed our colleague 55-year-old Roman Chmykhun, an operator of process units. Our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones and the entire team."
Details: He noted that this is already the second painful loss for the company this week alone.
All proper services are working at the scene. The operation of the affected equipment has been halted, and efforts to deal with the aftermath are ongoing.
Background:
- Earlier it was reported that Russian forces struck a gas production infrastructure facility belonging to Naftogaz Group, causing a fire.
- Prior to that, Russian troops attacked an industrial facility in the Poltava district, leaving 5,040 consumers without gas supply.
- Russian forces also attacked the Naftogaz Group's Kherson combined heat and power plant with artillery, killing an employee of the chemical unit. It was also reported that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Naftogaz Group has already lost 315 employees.
