US President Donald Trump has said the US has a plan for the rapid destruction of all bridges and power plants in Iran if his ultimatum on reopening the Strait of Hormuz is not met.

Details: Trump said the US has a plan under which all bridges and power plants in Iran could be destroyed within hours.
"Complete demolition by 12 o'clock [midnight Eastern Time], and it will happen over a period of four hours if we want it to. We don't want that to happen. We don't want that to happen," he said.

- Over the weekend, Trump set a new deadline for Iran to comply with his ultimatum – 20:00 Eastern Time.
- He also warned Iran of worse things than the destruction of bridges and power plants.
