Missile wreckage found in garden in Poland

A missile fragment was discovered in a garden in the village of Jarosławiec in Lublin Voivodeship in Poland on 10 April.

Details: The Military Gendarmerie reported on measures being carried out in the village.

It said that "a fragment of a missile, likely used to counter Russian drones on the night of 9-10 September 2025, was found in a garden".

"The area has been secured. There is no threat to people's life or health," the military added.

Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło, press officer for the Municipal Police Department in Zamość, said police received a report about the discovery of an unknown object after 13:00.

"We informed the Military Counterintelligence Service, the Internal Security Agency and the Military Gendarmerie. Measures are currently being carried out at the scene," she explained.

Background:

  • Polish authorities previously stated that about 20 Russian drones entered the country's airspace on the night of 9-10 September 2025. Some of them flew nearly 300 km deep into Polish territory from the eastern border.
