Partisans destroy Russian locomotive, disrupting military supplies to Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Members of the Atesh underground resistance movement have said they destroyed a locomotive in Russia's Rostov Oblast, describing the attack as a blow to Russian military supply routes on the Zaporizhzhia front.

Details: The partisans carried out the sabotage near the Likhaya railway station in Rostov Oblast. The locomotive was completely destroyed and cannot be repaired.
Atesh noted that the Likhaya railway hub is a key transit point for military cargo heading towards Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Trains carrying ammunition, fuel and armoured vehicles for Russian forces operating in active combat areas pass through it.
Quote: "The direct cost of the destruction of the locomotive exceeds US$150,000. But the real cost for Russia is much higher: Russian Railways are already experiencing an acute shortage of operational locomotives, and their repair capacity is practically exhausted. Every unit of rolling stock matters, and now one more is gone.
The locomotive being disabled has brought train traffic on this section to a halt. Military trains are stuck in the rear, and supplies have been disrupted. While Russian Railways search for a replacement, Russian units on the front lines remain without the promised replenishment of ammunition."
