Details: Sybiha also said that Ukraine recently passed this message to its Turkish partners, since Türkiye "plays an important role in peace efforts".

Background:

  • Putin has repeatedly proposed meeting with Zelenskyy in Moscow. The latest such invitation was issued by the Kremlin in February.
  • Sybiha called the proposal "unacceptable", while Zelenskyy said Putin's invitation was an attempt to put off meeting him. "Our American partners have informed us that Putin has invited me to Moscow. I believe that if you want to prevent the meeting from taking place, you should invite me to Moscow," he said.
