As of the morning of 27 April, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson, Chernihiv and Kharkiv oblasts remain temporarily without electricity following Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities.

Details: Power engineers are working flat out to resume electricity supply to all consumers as quickly as possible. Repair work is ongoing around the clock, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, more than 700 settlements remain without electricity due to adverse weather conditions.

Background:

  • On the morning of 27 April, Russian forces attacked the town of Koriukivka in Chernihiv Oblast with drones, injuring two people and damaging a critical infrastructure facility, two businesses and residential buildings.
  • It was reported that about 4,500 consumers were left without electricity.
