Risky operation: Ukrainian Navy evacuates intelligence officer from occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast – video

The Ukrainian Navy carried out a "risky and complex" operation to evacuate a Ukrainian intelligence officer from temporarily occupied territory in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Details: According to the report, at the end of March, colleagues from the defence forces approached Navy Commander Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa for assistance. The life of a Ukrainian named Serhii (name changed), who had been rescuing Ukrainian soldiers and passing on valuable intelligence under occupation, was at risk.

Serhii was later released but found himself trapped – without documents and under constant surveillance by the FSB and local "commandant's office", which made any movement extremely difficult.

Ukrainian intelligence officers achieved the impossible – they evacuated the man from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast to territory under Ukraine's control. This operation is further proof that Ukraine fights for every one of its citizens. We do not abandon our own, wherever they may be."
