The Ukrainian Navy carried out a "risky and complex" operation to evacuate a Ukrainian intelligence officer from temporarily occupied territory in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Details: According to the report, at the end of March, colleagues from the defence forces approached Navy Commander Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa for assistance. The life of a Ukrainian named Serhii (name changed), who had been rescuing Ukrainian soldiers and passing on valuable intelligence under occupation, was at risk.

Serhii was later released but found himself trapped – without documents and under constant surveillance by the FSB and local "commandant's office", which made any movement extremely difficult.

Ukrainian intelligence officers achieved the impossible – they evacuated the man from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast to territory under Ukraine's control.
