Details: Earlier this week, the Russian human rights initiative Movement of Conscientious Objectors reported that a conscript from St Petersburg who had been banned from leaving Russia was prevented from departing via Belarus.

On 23 April, he was not allowed to board a flight to Tbilisi at Minsk National Airport, and on 25 April, he was denied exit using his ID on a trip to Yerevan. In all cases, no written explanations were provided, the human rights group said.

According to the initiative, the case indicates that Belarus and Russia have begun exchanging data from the electronic military register and the register of draft notices.
