Zelenskyy signs new sanctions package, including against Belarus-linked entities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a new Ukrainian sanctions package, including against entities linked to Belarus.

Quote: "I have signed a new sanctions package for Ukraine, a significant package that includes entities from Belarus.

This is a signal to many of our partners about where pressure should be applied in order to reduce the level of this war and its intensity."

Details: Zelenskyy said Belarus must not be drawn into the war.

Quote: "We need Belarus not to be drawn into the war. We need there to be no operations against other European countries. We need a dignified peace in this war of Russia against Ukraine."

Background: Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed decrees enacting decisions of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine on sanctions against Russian entities involved in the abduction of Ukrainian children.
