Russia's daytime drone attack on Ukraine: 388 UAVs downed, hits recorded at 6 locations and debris falls at 11 sites

Russia has launched 409 attack drones since the morning of 1 May. The Ukrainian air defence has downed 388 of them, meanwhile the attack is still ongoing.

Details: From 08:00 to 15:30, Russian forces used 409 attack UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, among them jet-powered variants, as well as Gerbera, Italmass and other types of drones launched from Shatalovo, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as the occupied city of Donetsk and the settlement of Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.
Around 250 of the UAVs were Shahed-type drones, the Air Force said.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
Early reports showed that, as of 15:30, the Ukrainian air defence has shot down or suppressed 388 Russian drones of various types over the north, south, centre and west of the country.
Hits by 16 attack UAVs were recorded at six locations, while debris from downed drones fell at 11 locations.
