Ukrainian air defence downs 135 out of 155 Russian drones, hits recorded at 10 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 155 Shahed (some of them jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones on the night of 3-4 May.

Details: Early reports indicated that as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 135 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by 14 UAVs had been recorded at 10 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 4 locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
