Quote: "The ceasefire initiated by Ukraine demonstrates our genuine commitment to peace. It is not tied to any specific dates for the sake of enforcing ideological dogmas, but aimed at saving human lives and restoring security. If the ceasefire announced by the President is reciprocated, we will continue to observe it. And this will give us at least a small glimmer of hope for achieving a lasting peace."
Details: Budanov emphasised that Zelenskyy's move shows the world that he is committed to peace.
He added that the next step lies with Russia and it will show whether Moscow is willing to demonstrate that human life holds any value for it. Budanov noted that Ukraine's top political leadership is closely monitoring Russian actions and is prepared for any developments.
