Witkoff and Kushner arrive in Ukraine for first time to discuss peace
US President Donald Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have arrived in Ukraine.

Details: According to the sources, Witkoff and Kushner arrived in Ukraine on 6 September as part of Washington's diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
Their arrival came a day after the two envoys held more than three hours of talks with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin in Moscow, with both sides describing the talks as "substantive".
The trip by Trump's representatives to Ukraine is their first since they began working on a peace settlement.
Update: Later, Rustem Umierov, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, posted a video of the American negotiators being met at a railway station in Kyiv.

- Earlier on 6 September, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had held a meeting with the negotiating team ahead of a meeting with the US president's representatives.
- Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian ruler, said Putin told the US president's envoys during Saturday's talks that he is confident his war aims will be achieved. The White House described the talks as "substantive" and announced that the next steps will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
