Russia attacks Ukraine with nearly 70 drones, hits recorded at 8 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 67 Shahed (some of them jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones on the night of 7-8 May.

Details: Early reports indicated that as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 56 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's south and east.

Hits by 11 UAVs had been recorded at eight locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at seven locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
