Details: The SSU drone attack caused a fire to break out at one of the atmospheric-vacuum tube units at the Perm refinery – a key component in crude oil distillation. One of the tanks at the oil pumping station was also hit.

The SSU noted that the facility is one of Russia's largest oil refineries, supplying fuel to both the civilian sector and the Russian armed forces. The Perm oil pipeline control station belongs to Transneft JSC and is a strategically important hub in Russia's main oil transportation system. Oil is distributed through the station in four directions, including to the Perm refinery.

Background: The previous drone attacks on the Russian oil facilities in Perm were carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine on the nights of 28-29 and 29-30 April.
