Details: The General Staff noted that the refinery's output includes petrol, diesel and jet fuel, making it an important part of the logistical support for the Russian military.

The Ukrainian forces also confirmed a strike on infrastructure facilities at the Astrakhan gas processing plant in Russia's Astrakhan Oblast.

A fire broke out on the premises of the facility.

"The facility is an important part of the gas transmission and fuel infrastructure of the aggressor state and is involved in meeting the needs of Russia's military-industrial complex," the General Staff said.

The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

The General Staff added that Ukraine's defence forces "will continue to systematically strike enemy facilities until Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine is completely stopped".
