Search and rescue operation after Russian strike on Kyiv ends, with 21 adults and 3 children confirmed dead – photo
The search and rescue operation at the site of a residential building destroyed by a Russian missile in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district has been completed, with 24 people confirmed dead.

Quote: "As of now, 24 are confirmed to have been killed, including three children. Forty-eight people have been injured."
Details: The search and rescue operation lasted more than 28 hours. Emergency workers cleared over 3,000 cubic metres of building debris.
State Emergency Service units moved on to emergency repair work on the morning of 15 May.
Friday 15 May has been declared a day of mourning in Kyiv for those killed in the large-scale Russian attack on 14 May.
Background:
- A part of a high-rise residential building collapsed during the combined Russian strike on Kyiv. The attack claimed 24 lives, including three children.
- The strike also damaged almost a dozen high-rise residential buildings, a car service station, a business centre, a supermarket and other facilities, as well as nearly 30 cars.
