Russian strike on Sumy Oblast damages apartment block, people may be trapped under rubble – photo

Russian forces have struck the city of Konotop in Sumy Oblast, hitting a high-rise residential building where people may be trapped under the rubble. The Shostka hromada has also come under a Russian drone attack. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: Semenikhin said the district hospital had also been damaged, with windows shattered.
He added that many windows and doors had been blown out in office buildings, houses and apartments.
A museum was also destroyed.
Semenikhin said many people had been injured in the Russian attack.
Update: Sumy Oblast Military Administration later reported that Russian drones had struck residential areas in the Konotop and Shostka hromadas overnight.
Emergency services are dealing with the aftermath of the attacks. Evacuations are also underway from damaged buildings and neighbouring houses.
Quote from the military administration: "At least six people have been injured in Konotop. Information about casualties is being confirmed."

Background: Russian forces struck Dnipro on the night of 19-20 May. Five people were injured and a fire broke out in the city.
