Explosions were heard in Poltava Oblast on the evening of 22 May and a fire later broke out.

Quote from Diakivnych: "Air defence systems were operating in the Poltava district this evening. Early reports indicate that debris from a downed UAV fell in an open area. No reports of casualties have been received by emergency services."

Details: Diakivnych later reported more explosions in the Poltava district.

Update: After midnight on 23 May, Yamshchykova reported on the aftermath of the Russian strikes on the Poltava hromada. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Quote from Yamshchykova: "A fire has broken out, windows in office buildings have been shattered by the blast wave and several reports have been received about damaged windows in residential buildings as a result of the enemy drone attack on the Poltava hromada."

Update: Diakivnych said at dawn that, according to the State Emergency Service, the fire caused by the attack had been extinguished.
