Death toll from Russia's 24 May attack on Kyiv rises to three

Human remains have been found under the rubble of a destroyed section of a residential building in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district, bringing the death toll from Russia's strikes on the capital on 24 May to three.

Quote: "The death toll from the enemy attack on Kyiv on 24 May has risen to three people. Human remains believed to belong to a resident of the partially destroyed building in the Shevchenkivskyi district were discovered during emergency rescue operations."
Details: Police added that a woman is currently considered to be missing.
"DNA testing will be carried out for final identification," law enforcement officials said.
Background:
- On the night of 23-24 May, Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine using 90 missiles and 600 drones of various types, including an Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile.
- Two people were known to have been killed and 92 injured in Kyiv.
- In Kyiv, damage was reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building, a theatre, a philharmonic hall, two museums, a library, a university, a church, a monastery and some listed buildings. The building at 9a Hrushevskoho Street in Kyiv, where flats belonging to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and sanctioned businessman Tymur Mindich are located, was also damaged.
