IMF mission begins new loan programme review in Kyiv

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission has begun meetings with Ukrainian authorities and partners in Ukraine as part of the first review of the Extended Fund Facility.

Details: Tofano said the mission is led by Gavin Gray. The IMF confirmed that discussions will focus on macroeconomic policy and key structural reforms.

Background: On 15 May, it was reported that staff from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would visit Ukraine in the following weeks to assess progress in implementing economic reforms and broadening the country's tax base as part of a US$8.1 billion loan.
