Putin's motorcade in Kazakhstan accompanied by armoured vehicle with electronic warfare system – photos, video
The motorcade for Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, who is in Astana for talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, appeared to include a vehicle fitted with an electronic warfare system and an armoured vehicle with a gunner position on the roof. The Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT), an independent investigative organisation that uses open-source intelligence, reported that there was no machine gun on the vehicle.

Details: The vehicle was most likely an Alan armoured car with a gunner position on the roof.
A CIT representative agreed that the vehicle resembles "a standard armoured car with a semi-enclosed machine-gun turret from which the machine gun had been removed".
Also spotted in Putin's motorcade was a vehicle with a structure on its roof which may have been an electronic warfare system. CIT did not rule out that communications equipment may have been installed on the vehicle.
Media outlets reported that Putin's limousine was escorted by 14 motorcycles and 20 cars, with a helicopter providing cover from above.
Footage from the city of Astana also showed soldiers in camouflage uniforms armed with assault rifles standing along the roads used by Putin's convoy, and entrances were blocked by armoured vehicles in some places.
