Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles and 166 drones of various types on the night of 8-9 June. Ukrainian defence forces have downed 146 of the UAVs.

Details: From the evening of 8 June, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using two Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missiles from Russia's Voronezh Oblast and 166 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas attack drones, Banderol loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones.

The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

Hits by two guided missiles and 17 UAVs have been recorded at 18 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at eight locations.

The attack is ongoing, as several enemy drones are still in the airspace. Please observe safety measures."
