Russia attacks thermal power plant, killing one worker

Russian forces have attacked a thermal power plant belonging to DTEK, the largest private energy company in Ukraine. One employee has been killed and another injured.

Details: The attack caused significant damage to the plant's equipment. Medical assistance is being provided to the employee injured in the strike.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has carried out nearly 230 attacks on thermal power plants belonging to DTEK.

Background: New power outages have been recorded in five oblasts following Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
