"Putin told Trump that no attempts by Kyiv to strike civilian infrastructure in Russia will change the situation on the battlefield," TASS reported, citing Ushakov.
The Russian leader also confirmed to Trump that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants a meeting, he should come to Moscow.
Putin and Trump also agreed that US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will travel to Russia again in the near future.
The Russian ruler also said he "greatly appreciated the role of Melania Trump in reuniting Russian and Ukrainian children with their families".
Trump told Putin that an agreement between the US and Iran is close and could be unveiled on 14 June.
Trump also apparently told Putin that he was the first foreign leader to call him on Sunday, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
