Quote: "Russia attacked the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studios in Kyiv, one of Ukraine's oldest film studios. A fire broke out. The costume department was damaged as a result of the strike. Ukraine's largest and oldest costume collection was destroyed. The studio housed around 100,000 costumes and three million items of clothing and wardrobe materials. Other studio buildings and facilities were also damaged."

Details: Berezhna added that rescue workers and emergency services are working at the scene.

"Russia continues to deliberately attack not only civilian infrastructure and peaceful residents, but also cultural institutions that preserve Ukrainian identity, memory and history. The destruction of cultural centres is an attempt to strike at the memory, history and distinct identity of the Ukrainian people," she stressed.
Background:
- Russian forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv on the night of 14-15 June, killing four people and injuring 25.
- The State Emergency Service of Ukraine recorded damage and fires across all districts of the city. Emergency and rescue teams are working at around 50 locations.
