"According to the document, the partners will cooperate in the supply of engines across various power classes for Ukrainian missile and unmanned platforms," Ukrainian Armor said. "The partnership also provides for the potential creation of joint ventures, expansion of production capacities and localisation of relevant technologies in Ukraine."

Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of Ukrainian Armor, described the strategic partnership with AviaNera as an important step towards strengthening Ukraine's missile and unmanned aerial vehicle capabilities.

"Our goal is to create new opportunities for the production of modern engines for missile and unmanned systems. The joint development of production capacities and the future establishment of joint ventures will enable us not only to integrate modern European technologies into Ukrainian platforms but also to jointly develop new-generation precision weapons systems," he said.

Meanwhile, AviaNera Technologies CEO Pavel Čechal emphasised that his company is expanding production of engines for unmanned aerial systems and missiles.

"Engines are often a bottleneck in their production. That is why our strategy is to expand production and localise it in key markets, which undoubtedly includes Ukraine," he said.

Čechal added that the companies' cooperation in engine production continues the project of licensed production of Western-calibre ammunition, which CSG implemented together with Ukrainian Armor last year.

For reference: AviaNera Technologies is a Czech technology company specialising in the development, production and supply of engines for unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

Background: European missile group MBDA and Ukrainian Armor recently signed a memorandum of strategic partnership in Berlin that covers deep strike (long-range) capabilities and counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS).
