Quote: "Last year, during the same period, the Ministry of Defence codified and approved 659 models of military equipment for use, an increase of more than 50% year-on-year."
Details: The defence ministry has codified the following items since the start of the year:
- more than 300 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
- 188 types of ammunition
- 128 types of communications equipment
- over 60 types of electronic warfare (EW) and signals intelligence (SIGINT) equipment
- 50 ground robotic systems
- nearly 50 armoured vehicles and specialised armoured cars, among others.
The ministry noted that most of the items are already in service with the Ukrainian defence forces.
"Of the 1,000 codified models of military equipment, 892 are of Ukrainian origin, accounting for nearly 90%, which reflects the growing capacity of the domestic defence industry. The share of Ukrainian-origin equipment among codified models was 69.6% last year and 74.6% the year before," the Ministry of Defence said.
In addition to lethal weapons, since the start of 2026, the Ministry of Defence has codified:
- 68 vehicles of various types and purposes
- 34 items of logistical equipment
- 16 engineering assets
- nine maintenance-related assets for military equipment.
"The defence forces' arsenal has also been supplemented with new small arms, naval surface assets, optical equipment, NBC protection systems, decoys, software and other categories of military equipment," the Ministry of Defence added.
