The United States and US President Donald Trump have shifted their stance on the war in Ukraine, adopting a position that other G7 leaders consider more realistic.

Details: Carney noted that over the past 36 hours, he has held seven or eight conversations with US President Donald Trump, during which a wide range of topics were discussed, including Iran, Lebanon and Ukraine.

Quote from Carney: "Because there has been a change in the United States' position in the discussions on Ukraine, we consider this position to be more realistic regarding the situation on the battlefield and the possible outcome of the war, including Russia's defeat.

There are still several risks but I would like to emphasise the change in tone and the shift in possibilities regarding Lebanon and Ukraine. These are game changers."
