Quote: "There's also a reason to thank our warriors – especially the warriors of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces. Our long-range sanctions have reached Russia's Tyumen region – another oil-processing facility, over 2,000 kilometers from our state border. An effective strike.

The job was carried out by the new, upgraded FP drones that can now reach targets at distances of 3,000 kilometers. I am grateful to the Fire Point engineers.

These are fully justified responses to Russian strikes against our country. Ukraine's long-range sanctions plan is moving forward."

Details: The governor of Russia's Tyumen Oblast, Aleksandr Moor, said on the afternoon of 20 June that an alleged UAV attack on the Tyumen oil refinery had been repelled.

"At the site where debris fell, emergency services are working. According to early reports, the plant was not damaged, and employees were evacuated," he wrote.

Update: ASTRA reported that thick smoke was seen over the Tyumen oil refinery – the former Antipinsky refinery – in Tyumen.

Local residents reported hearing at least two explosions in the Antipino district, where the Tyumen refinery is located, and also saw at least 10 fire engines heading towards the plant.

An air-raid warning was declared in the oblast. Tyumen airport suspended take-offs and landings. Several flights were delayed.

The Tyumen oil refinery (TNPP, a branch of the Moscow-based company RI-INVEST) is one of Russia's largest independent oil refining plants, located in the industrial zone of Tyumen, near the Antipino district. The facility has a capacity of around 8 million tonnes of crude oil per year, and its processing depth reaches 98%. The plant's main products include Euro-5 diesel fuel, stable gas gasoline, petroleum coke, bitumen, and fuel oil.

The Tyumen refinery was previously targeted in October 2025.
