Russia attacks Ukraine with ballistic missile and 90 drones, air defence downs 83 aerial assets

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 90 drones of various types on the night of 25 June. Air defence forces have intercepted 83 UAVs.

Details: From the evening of 24 June, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from temporarily occupied Crimea as well as 90 Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs.

The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from Hvardiiske in Crimea and temporarily occupied Donetsk.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

Quote: "As of 08:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 83 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by a ballistic missile and six UAVs have been recorded at seven locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at nine locations.

The attack is ongoing, as several enemy drones are still in Ukrainian airspace. Please observe safety measures."
