One of the facilities hit was the Slavyansk Oil Refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai. The strike caused a fire on the refinery's premises.

The SSU said the attack on the Slavyansk refinery was carried out by the SSU's Special Operations Centre Alpha in cooperation with the Unmanned Systems Forces, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), and other components of Ukraine's defence forces.

According to the SSU, Ukrainian drones caused fires in the refinery's crude oil tank farm, petroleum product storage facilities and the primary oil refining unit.

The Slavyansk Oil Refinery, owned by Slavyansk ECO LLC, is one of the largest oil refining facilities in southern Russia. It produces petrol, fuel oil, marine fuel and other petroleum products and is a key exporter through Black Sea ports.

Ukraine's defence forces have also struck the Slavneft-YANOS Oil Refinery in Yaroslavl once again. The attack caused a direct hit and smoke was observed at the facility. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

The Yaroslavl Oil Refinery is one of Russia's largest oil refineries, with a design capacity of 15 million tonnes of crude oil per year. It produces petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and other petroleum products considered vital to Russia's military logistics.

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck a railway bridge near Ichok in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to Ukraine's defence forces, Russian troops had been using the bridge to transport personnel and military supplies.

An ammunition depot belonging to the Russian forces near Amvrosiivka in Donetsk Oblast was also hit.

Separately, Ukraine's defence forces confirmed the outcome of a Ukrainian missile strike carried out the previous day against the Titan-Barrikady industrial complex in Volgograd. Analysis of the information has confirmed that three production workshops were hit, causing fires, while two additional workshops sustained partial structural damage.

Background: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine's overnight "long-range sanctions" had successfully reached two Russian oil refineries.
