A series of powerful explosions was heard in the city of Kyiv overnight before an air-raid warning was issued. Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on four districts of the capital, leaving at least 10 people injured.

Details: Kyiv residents heard the first explosions at around 03:38. An air-raid warning in Kyiv was issued at 03:40, while the warning for Kyiv Oblast followed at 03:54.

Early reports from monitoring Telegram channels indicate that Russia may have used Iskander-M ballistic missiles or S-300/S-400 surface-to-surface missiles launched from Russia's Bryansk Oblast.

Update: Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that the city had come under a ballistic missile attack.

Quote from Klitschko: "Early reports indicate that there has been a strike on a non-residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district. A transformer substation is on fire in Darnytskyi district. A three-storey office building is burning in the Solomianskyi district. A fire has broken out on the grounds of a non-residential property in the Dniprovskyi district."

Details: The State Emergency Service reported that 10 people had been injured, including an 11-year-old boy.

"Four of those injured have been admitted to city hospitals. The others received medical treatment at the scene," he stated.
