Turkish foreign minister to visit Ukraine on 15 July

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Ukraine on 16 July.

Details: Sybiha announced Fidan's upcoming visit in a tweet, where he also welcomed the Ukrainian Parliament's ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkiye.
"I sincerely thank the Members of Parliament for supporting this important decision. This agreement is the result of many years of dedicated and sometimes challenging work, and today's vote turns our shared efforts into a tangible achievement," Sybiha wrote.
He emphasised that the agreement opens a new chapter in expanding trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries, creating new opportunities for businesses and citizens on both sides.
"I congratulate my friend, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and everyone who contributed to achieving this important result. I look forward to welcoming Hakan in Ukraine tomorrow as we continue advancing our strategic partnership across all areas of mutual interest," Sybiha added.
Background:
- On 14 July, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted the law ratifying the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Türkiye.
- Türkiye ratified the Free Trade Agreement with Ukraine on 2 August 2024.
