Quote: "Sadly, in the fifth year of the war, I have submitted my resignation from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I believe that the removal of Fedorov is a great blow to the country's defence capability. Glory to Ukraine!"

Details: Yelizarov also posted a copy of his resignation request, stating that Fedorov's dismissal as defence minister was the reason for his decision.

Yelizarov cited Paragraph 3 of Article 26.12 of Ukraine's Law On General Military Duty and Military Service as the legal basis for his discharge. The provision sets out grounds for discharge, including the need to care for seriously ill relatives, the presence of family members with disabilities, and the raising of children.
